Our Story

Cove Suncare started the way most of my realizations do—with a little chaos, a little sun, and a whole lot of “this should not be this hard.” I’m a twin mom in my 20s, a lifelong eczema girlie, and a Gen Z clean-ingredient nerd who used to source raw materials for a cosmetic manufacturing company. I’ve seen what goes into products… and what shouldn’t.

My relationship with SPF wasn’t always cute. Two weeks before my engagement party, I went on a casual 12-mile hike with my husband. We lost track of time, soaked in every view, felt invincible, until I came back with a sunburn so wild it stole the spotlight in every photo. Instead of glowing, I was peeling. Instead of feeling effortless, I was uncomfortable. And as someone with sensitive, eczema-prone skin, it hit even harder. Sunscreen shouldn’t ruin the moments you’re trying to remember.

That’s when I knew: if I couldn’t find a sunscreen that was clean, gentle, and actually wearable… I’d make it.

Working in cosmetic manufacturing taught me exactly what ingredients work, what irritates sensitive skin, and what “clean” brands pretend is clean (but really isn’t). So I worked with chemists who understood my standards—formulas that are mineral-based, non-phototoxic, sensitive-skin safe, and feel so lightweight you forget you’re wearing them.

And yes… I tested every single prototype on hikes, beach days, mom days, and “running on 3 hours of sleep because twins” days.

Cove Suncare became my way of giving people—moms, students, girlies who read ingredient lists on TikTok, outdoors lovers, and anyone who just wants transparency—a sunscreen that finally feels right. Something you don’t dread reapplying. Something that doesn’t sting eczema patches or cling to dry spots. Something that fits seamlessly into your life, whether you’re running after toddlers or running to your 8am class.

Our formulas are as light as sea foam, as clean as the tide, and as protective as the shade you chase at noon. Reef-safe. Skin-safe. Gen Z-approved. Mom-friendly. No heavy film, no ingredients you can’t pronounce.

To me, SPF isn’t just protection; it’s freedom. Freedom to stay out longer, laugh harder, and make memories without the burn.
